About PWC and DC Chapter Founded in 1980, PWC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 national organization committed to advancing professional, entrepreneurial and managerial opportunities for women and other "non-traditional" populations in construction and related industries. With over 1,000 members, PWC serves a constituency of close to 10,000, representing a broad spectrum of the industry. JOB OPPORTUNITY AT EVANS & KATZ My firm is seeking to hire a DC office administrative staff member. Approx 30 hours/week with the strong possibility that the successful candidate could go fulltime. This is a casual office environment less than a block from Metro.
This isn’t the formal job posting but one can be provided if you know of anyone who might be interested.
In my perfect world, the perfect candidate would have a basic understanding of the political process, would be an energetic self starter with strong organizational and problem solving skills, comfortable on the phone and in a variety of social and business settings. Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. is a must. Proficiency with QuickBooks Pro and/or some accounting/bookkeeping background would be a real plus. Knowledge of campaign finance compliance software such as NGP, Aristotle, FECFile and/or Vocus would be dreamy, but not essential.
The position as initially envisioned would include: fielding phone inquiries, ordering supplies, sort & route mail, manage the daily activities of the DC office including its interns, work closely with the Business Manager and bookkeeping firm, misc errands on and around Capitol Hill, assist the Principal with special projects as assigned.
Additionally, the qualified and vetted candidate will: process contributions to clients for deposit, daily processing and deposit receipts and disbursements for E&K, prepare pre-approved disbursements for Principal’s signature and dissemination, campaign finance data entry and QuickBooks Pro data entry.
There are may be opportunities for advancement and or expansion of scope of duties for the qualified candidate, as are numerous opportunities to interact regularly with the individuals and organizations driving the 2012 elections.
