In June 2017, PWC New York City Chapter launched its first Experienced & Emerging Mentorship program. The inaugural program paired 50 of the chapter’s members into 25 pairs. PWC is now in its third year of the mentorship program after a second successful year with 28 pairs.
EXPERIENCED & EMERGING PROFESSIONALS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
April 2020 – November 2020
PWC has launched a mentorship program that will last from April through November 2020. PWC’s mentorship program drives learning and development for both mentee and mentors. As a valued member, we encourage you to participate in our third round!
The goal of this program is to promote women in the construction industry by allowing experienced and emerging professionals to engage in a meaningful and supportive relationship that fosters growth and confidence.
UNIVERSITY LEVEL MENTORSHIP
PWC wants to engage women who are in college and in the c onstruction field. We want to support their efforts in launching their careers.
We are always looking for college students to be volunteers at our events. If you are interested in this, please reach out to us!
Additionally, we started a scholarship program in 2017 to financially back college students and want to make sure we have a program that will connect and support our scholars. If you would like to donate to our scholarship fund, you can do so
HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL MENTORSHIP
We want to attract girls who may not know construction is a career path they can take. We
are developing a program that can give a glimpse of the possibilities as girls think about their
futures, and consider careers.
We have recently developed a relationship with the New York State Mentoring Program. This program matches school aged children to professional mentors. If you are interested, more information can be found here: New York State Mentoring
